Summary: Be Afraid... Be Very Afraid
Comment: Panasonic has a great reputation... but for TV's and other electronics. The reviews ran the gamut, so I decided the price was worth gambling I would finally find the eyelash curler of my dreams. One reviewer mentioned the curler is flat, and that's correct; it's shaped like a little toothbrush. So you can envision the problem with that: If you have George Clooney lashes, no problem. If you have short, straight lashes like me (which is why I use a curler in the first place), BIG PROBLEM! It's not only scary to put a hot mini-iron so close to your corneas, but just not worth the risk of a slip-up.

Summary: Works well, but has some issues
Comment: This heated lash curler will curl your lashes, but it does have some quirks. You may find that in order to get your lashes to hold the curl, you'll need to apply a thin coat of primer or mascara before using it. Depending on the mascara/primer used, you could end up with a mess. You don't want to use this over the wax mascaras that make little tubes on your lashes, unless you want to be digging it out of the tip. The only way to find out what works is trial and error. The other issue is battery life-- there isn't much of it. It's good for a few uses and then you're changing the battery again. I've found this to be the case with any heated device, though. The cap design is very good-- when you put the cap on, it automatically slides the switch into the off position. Overall for the price and the results, this is a good product that performs well. I doubt if I'll go back to regular lash curlers after this.

Summary: This is the one.
Comment: I have used the lash curler from Sephora for some time but had to keep buying them because the casing always ended with a tiny crack which prevented good contact with the battery. So far the Panasonic has been great and seems to have a more secure connection.

Summary: Not impressed
Comment: I honestly did not notice any improved curling with this product, in fact, I think that the heat melts my mascara and the comb makes my lashes look thinner and sparser (I had heard that it worked better AFTER putting on mascara). No better when done before mascara either. Metal eyelash curlers are the better way to go.

Summary: Best curler for Asian lashes
Comment: After A LOT of experimenting, I've found that this is the best product for my Asian lashes--even better with a coat of mascara on. Using the Shu Uemura manual curler or Sephora heated curler on my lashes prior to mascara doesn't work because my lashes straighten out before the mascara dries. But I've found if I heat this product up slightly (not all to full strength by any means), my lashes maintain curl all day. Like hair, the first coat of mascara (some lengthening product) is like styling gel and then afterwards I add another coat of mascara (something that doesn't smudge and volumizes) as my hair spray. It's the closest I've come to the looks in magazines without fake lashes and touch ups!

Editorial Reviews:

Heated Comb curls and separates eyelashes / No pinching, tugging or pulling / Glides through mascara / Uses 1 AA Battery ( Not Included)
