Summary: Wonderful product; excellent results.
Comment: Worked as I wanted. Perfect results. Follow directions and after shampooing condition heavily with a good conditioner, such as John Frieda's Brilliant Brunnette and rinse. Highly recommend for correcting too dark coloring.

Summary: Removed Color, but not enough
Comment: I just used the color oops about an hour ago. I dyed my hair from my natural blonde (with highlights) to dark brown. I was naive and thought that if I used a semi-permanent color that it would rinse out. Halloween is coming up and I am going to be Alice in wonderland. so i need to be blonde again. The color had only been in 2 weeks and i was sure that the dye had stained my hair. The color oops only made my hair a lighter shade of brown. My hair doesnt feel too dry or damaged, it kind of just feels like i blew it dry and doesnt have any hydrating product on it. Anyways, i am going to try again to remove the color, this time a Loreal product.

Summary: Pretty Good
Comment: Naturally I have medium brown hair. I dyed my hair once to a lighter auburnish color but for some reason wanted it redder. Three weeks later I dyed my hair again and got Ronald McDonald red. I used Color Oops with high hopes. It worked pretty well. It didnt completely take the red out of my hair; it still has a slight copery look to it. But it did the job with out frying my hair. What I am unsatisfied about though, is that the soulution is so runny and it smells like rotten apples and eggs. After following the dirrections and washing my hair the next night, my hair still smells a bit.

Summary: Works wonderfully when you follow directions!
Comment: This product saved my butt! I dyed my medium-brownish-reddish hair black. As in, permanent, jet black. I left this black dye in for about 3 weeks, and then got sick of it. I bought a box of this Color Oops Extra Strength, FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS (left on for 20 minutes in a warm-ish room, rinsed for 5 minutes, shampooed thoroughly, rinsed again for 5 minutes, shampooed, rinsed some more, conditioned) then followed up with a henna & placenta mask to help my poor abused hair.

It took out ALL THE BLACK. Seriously. My normal colour is back again! My hair smells pretty awful and seems a tiny bit distressed, but some deep conditioning and a bit of time will help that.

This stuff might not help you if you have layers of different colours in your hair-- it'll take off the top layer & might be uneven. This stuff won't help to remove direct color dye (those gaudy unnatural colours- pink, purple, blue, etc). This stuff won't help you if you don't follow the directions.

But it rocks my socks off! (And no, I don't work for the company. I'm just some chick who bought a box of it in the drugstore)

Summary: Good enough
Comment: Some idi0t at Super Cuts messed my hair up by putting black-brown dye over bleached blond hair. My hair looked like a witch wig. This product didn't completely fade the black-brown, but faded it to a really great lighter brown tone that goes really, really well with the rest of my hair color. Color Oops was a lifesaver--I was embarrassed to leave the house.

I only gave it 4 stars because it was good enough for me, but there is a comparison of before and after colors on the side of the box and I'm sure it wasn't that drastically effective. It may not be as helpful to others who want to COMPLETELY rid their hair of all dyed color. However, I think in the case of Color Oops, it may be a good idea to leave it on longer to process than 20 minutes. Perhaps 30 minutes; it won't be dangerous.

A few last things--it's kind of runny and VERY stinky. Like, rancid. I rinsed it for 15 minutes and washed it 3 times and my hair still smells like the product--EGGS. It's worth it though :) a little perfume with fix that quick, I'm sure.

Overall, I completely recommend this product because a bad dye job is awful and hard to deal with. This product with help make it manageable.
